Meet the Team - Rajiv Ruwala BDS

Rajiv qualified in 2008 from King's College London. Following an initial year of training in Croydon he is overseeing the redevelopment and refurbishment of the practice. Rajiv currently holds a job as an honorary clinical teacher at King's College Hospital. His main interests are cosmetic minimally invasive dentistry, implant dentistry and periodontics (gum treatment).

He is dedicated in further education and has recently completed and attended many courses

• One year course in 'Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry & Restorative Dentistry' (by renowned dentist Chris Orr)
• MJDF (The Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties)
• One year course in 'Oral Implantology' (by a world leader in Implants; Prof. Hilt Tatum)
• Intermediate life support
• 'Invisalign' Certification
• BACD (British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry) conference 2011- of which he is a Full Member
• 'Botox, Dermal Fillers and Chemical Peels' accredited (by DBK institute)

His future learning goals are to learn and become accredited for:

• Full accredited membership of the BACD (only 13 dentists have ever passed this exam to date)
• Six month smiles (short term fixed orthodontics)
• Inman aligner (removable orthodontics)
• Computer generated impressions and computer manufactured fillings/crowns.

Outside of dentistry he is a keen photographer and teaches medical and dental photography to dental students and colleagues alike. He has recently spent time photographing in the Galapagos Islands.
